The Director will develop and manage the implementation of a comprehensive demand generation plan to support and drive the company’s goals. This individual must be able to work in a collaborative environment, working closely with Sales, Product Marketing and other functions in order to build consensus on strategy and execution of the plan. The Director will have experience as a change agent with demonstrated expertise and effectiveness; and will have the creativity and energy to advance SkillGigs across all dimensions. SkillGigs is a rapidly growing company investing in the marketing function and the individual must be willing to put in the work directly to set the foundation. Director of Demand Generation Job Details:

You Will (Core Responsibilities):

  • Develop databases targeting key markets and verticals
  • Build-out a scalable demand generation function at SkillGigs that drives predictable pipeline activity
  • Manage team to attain daily and weekly activity metrics of sign ups and employer demo requests Amplify marketing qualified leads, opportunities and pipeline to meet or exceed growth targets across business segments
  • Manage all inbound and outbound demand generation channels
  • Determine the tactical mix between email, digital advertising, SEO, webinars, and social
  • Manage demand generation campaigns performance in terms of evaluating results tactic by tactic and optimizing performance over time, testing variables in the plan to improve future performance
  • Analyze and report results effectively
  • Execute B2B and B2C campaigns
    • Manage and optimize the budget allocation across campaigns
    • Configure and build campaigns within Marketing Automation
    • Identify content needs for campaigns
    • A/B testing of campaigns to increase success rate
  • Work with Sales and Marketing leadership to develop end-to-end campaigns, from ideation to execution to tracking results
  • Maintain a feedback loop between sales & marketing to optimize lead generation campaigns and identify opportunities for pipeline acceleration and sales conversions
  • Work with the content team to create compelling and consistent messaging for email and social media campaigns
  • Work with website resources to ensure that inbound traffic to our website converts into leads
  • Set program goals, analyze campaign results in detail, draw insights, and make data-based adjustments
  • Build reports and dashboards to monitor lead gen activity
  • Support the evaluation, selection and management of outside vendors that contribute to the demand creation programs. Develop our account-based marketing programs to help land and expand key accounts
  • Monitor existing and developing technologies to help SkillGigs and its child brand SwipeFox in Demand Gen efforts
  • Manage email deliverability, database hygiene, subscription management and compliance with opt-in laws and regulations
  • Ensure compliance with CAN-SPAM, GDPR and other relevant regulation
  • This role will manage a direct report team with the expectation of growing the team as needed

About You (Skills & Qualifications):

  • 7+ years’ digital marketing experience, preferably in B2B and/or B2C technology markets. At least 2 years being responsible for the demand generation function at a SaaS/PaaS company
  • Expert in digital marketing, including SEO, PPC, lead scoring, nurturing programs, list management, segmentation, and targeting
  • Strong analytical expertise to set measurable goals and evaluate campaign effectiveness
  • Deep understanding of optimization requirements at the different stages of the funnel
  • In-depth knowledge of CRM and marketing automation systems
  • Strong project management skills. Self-motivated and extremely resourceful in driving projects forward
  • Deep understanding of full-funnel performance marketing & growth levers (acquisition, adoption/activation, monetization, retention)
  • Bachelor or University Degree
  • Must have a valid U.S. work authorization to apply

First 90 days to 6 months Focus:

Outside of learning our industry, our mission, and vision, this new leader to the marketing function will expect the following within their first 6 months: 

First 90 days (B2B Focus):

  • Translating the overall strategy into campaign plans 
  • Testing marketing channels to help deliver demand  
  • Tactical roll out of demand generation marketing campaigns – 
  • Reporting on ROI and key demand generation metrics  

90-Days – 6 Months (B2B + B2C)

  • Hiring, coaching and managing everybody in the team  
  • Creating the demand generation strategy and overseeing the execution of the strategy  
  • Setting budgets, overseeing spend and reporting on ROI  
  • Reporting to key stakeholders about initiatives, wins / losses, strategy and input into broader demand generation ideas  
  • Deciding on the MarTech stack
